String Tech was the name given to a violin and strings based repair workshop operated for many years by Evan Williams on Brisbanes Southside. String Tech serviced numerous music stores, schools and private customers as well as doing community work. Evan retired relatively recently and I’ve been able to pick up the slack with violin / strings repair, servicing and restoration work for several music shops and schools.
At Evans suggestion I have discounted my prices for schools as instrument, I understand budgets are always tight and if I can keep a workhorse cello going for just a few more years everybody is happy. I also have a range of secondhand and new instruments available and can source bulk/discounted education pricing from suppliers .
